The development of the philosophical lexicography and the history of ideas, as lead by Universities and CNR, is the focus of this interview. The success of these disciplines is examined within the background of the last decades of the Italian culture. The study of the texts, even through indexes, lexicons and concordances, is shown as the essential premise to the complicated relations which are at the basis of the translation studiorum, one of the specific characters of the European cultural heritage.
