Abstract

The article provides a report on the 28th International Congress of Papyrologywhich has been hold in Barcelona in 2016. The focus lies on the contributions aboutHerculanean papyri. Particularly intriguing were two papers about recent developments invirtually unrolling of unopened papyrus rolls, a technique which, if fully developed, wouldmark a revolution in the field of Herculanean papyrology.
